The VARIOKIT Cantilevered Parapet System is based upon our core civil engineering system VARIOKIT. Thanks to a standardised kit of parts, available to purchase or rent, a cost-effective but capable system can be provided to meet your specific project requirements.

The system can be easily designed to work around any bridge-specific design requirements and obstructions to the tracked system to move the formwork along the span. Curved spans are easily accounted for, and the system provides a reliable, simple and cost-effective method to help keep your project on time and within cost.

VARIOKIT Cantilevered Parapet Systems in action

The parapet track is suspended from the underside of the bridge by means of rails and roller units ensuring the working area and formed parapet are always easily accessible.
With the parapet track, multiple 20 m long centre and outer parapet sections can be shuttered, concreted and struck per week – ensuring unrestricted use of the carriageway.
The parapet carriage moving on the bridge superstructure can easily be adapted to accommodate obstructions and any changes in the cross-section. All necessary adjustment work is carried out from the working platform.
Moving the parapet carriage takes place quickly and easily by means of steel profiles. As a rule, no anchoring is required in the structure and horizontal forces are transferred via friction.
