The system consists of different types of load and length optimized frames, which enable to continuously create every span with the corresponding combination.

VARIOKIT VRB Heavy-Duty Truss Girder

For the transfer of high loads along large spans

The VRB truss girder is mainly used in bridge construction as shoring of spans from 25 up to 40m. The truss girder system has extremely high load-bearing capacity – up to 3,000 kNm – at a relatively low dead weight.  This combination of characteristics ensures fewer parts, faster assembly and dismantling, reduced transport burden, and tight cost control during complex phases of construction.

VARIOKIT VRB Heavy-Duty Truss Girder in action

  • VARIOKIT Heavy-Duty Shoring Towers and Truss Girders serve as load-bearing falsework for the edge sections of a 412 m long motorway bridge.
    Quick length adjustment

Simple adjustment of the truss lengths to suit changing span widths with just a few adaptable parts.

  • Bolted connections reduce assembly time during installation. The centric bracing connection ensures a high load-bearing capacity.
    Accelerated construction

Efficient processes thanks to a reduced number of trusses and their high load-bearing capacity.

  • The VARIOKIT Heavy-Duty Truss for large spans offers high load-bearing capacity with a low dead weight. A further advantage is the easy assembly procedure.
    Safety at all times

Integrated working platforms and safe access means as the system seamlessly integrates with PERI UP scaffolding.

Variations

The system consists of different types of load and length optimised frames to produce an agile and adaptable system fit for a wide range of challenging structures:

Bearing Frame for transferring the loads into the heavy-duty shoring towers

Coupling Joint Frame for higher shear forces close to the support as well as for use at intermediate supports and coupling joints

Standard Frame for use in the middle span

Standardised and centric connection of horizontal and vertical bracing enables the best use of the load-bearing capacity of the system, helping to reduce parts, and control costs.
