The first stage of the refinery will produce 1.4 million tonnes of alumina per year using bauxite from Comalco’s Weipa mine in North Queensland.

  • Outside diameter of the wind shield: 8.15m
  • Pour height: 2.35m
  • Wall thickness: 500 mm for the first 8 pours (19m) 
  • Wall thickness: 250 mm over two pours
